Lions is a community service organisation! People join Lions because they want to user their intellect, creativity, commitment and enthusiasm to get things done.  This is where you can find out about the sorts of projects that your local Lions Club is doing.  Like what you see?  Get involved!

Walk for an Aussie Kid is a joint project run in conjunction with the Lions Clubs of Redcliffe Inc., Redcliffe Kipparing., Deception Bay and the Lioness Clubs of Redcliffe Central and Redcliffe City. Walkers from the community and other Lions Clubs from the North side of Brisbane obtain sponsorships for walking with all proceeds going to the Australian Lions Children Mobility Foundation.

Lions within Australia are working hand in hand with the State Cerebral Palsy Associations to assist children who are affected by Cerebral Palsy, providing funding for Hart Walkers and other mobility devices to allow children to stand and walk to the best of their ability.

The Motto of the Australian Lions Children's Mobility Foundation is "Walk With Pride"

Mission Statement is "To fund mobility devices for children with disabilities, giving these children a chance to walk"

Christmas Wish Program..

One of the first projects undertaken by the Lions Club of Redcliffe Central was the "Christmas Wish Project"  which is now an annual event. The purpose of the program is to make Christmas a little brighter for permanent residents of the Recliffe Peninsula who are 65 years of age and over. An advertisement is placed in the local newspaper in October / November each year requesting eligible residents to complete an application form letting us know what the Lions can do for them to brighten their Christmas; some yard work, a special gift, an outing or just a vist, a chat and a cup of tea. Not all wishes can be fulfilled, but the Lions  do their best to meet all reasonable requests.
